Top business schools strive to recruit diverse students to their MBA programs every year. While at many business schools you may be in class with students from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and professional backgrounds, you may never get a chance to learn from them. In contrast, the Darden School of Business is uniquely able to capitalize on the diversity of its student body through the use of the case method, which requires all students to actively participate in classroom discussions, adding depth and viewpoints that otherwise would have been lost in a lecture-style format.
So what does diversity look like at Darden? The Office of Admissions and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Darden recently put together a video series titled “I Am Diversity”. For its launch, 14 students volunteered to share their personal stories and thoughts on diversity at the School.
