Our Future Year Scholars Program (FYSP) is a deferred admission program for exceptional college students. Here’s how it works: Apply as a college senior or fifth year master’s student. Start school after two, three or four years of work experience.

With our FYSP application launching this Wednesday (23 January), we are excited to announce the application deadlines for this year’s cycle. This year, Future Year applicants will have three opportunities to apply: March 1, May 1 and August 1.

We recently caught up with Assistant Director of Admissions, Taylor Fisher, to talk about this year’s deadlines:

How did you decide on this year’s deadlines?

This year, we decided to add a third deadline, 1 March. We wanted a deadline catered towards applicants who may have already taken a standardized test (GMAT or GRE) and are ready to apply. We say that preparing for and taking a standardized test is the most time intensive part of the application process. If you are targeting Future Year, have already taken a test and are happy with your score, you are almost to the finish line!

For Future Year applicants, when is the best time to apply?

The best time to apply is when you feel you can put together the strongest application. There is no “cap” on how many candidates we can admit to the Future Year Scholars Program, and an applicant’s chances of admission are not “better” if she/he applies earlier.

If you have specific questions about when to apply, schedule a conversation and connect one-on-one with a member of our Admissions Committee.

Want to learn more? Join Admissions Committee members, Taylor Fisher and Katherine Alford, for an “unboxing” webinar on Wednesday, 23 January. During this 30 minute session, Taylor and Katherine will offer a first look at this year’s Future Year Scholars Program application and provide key app-related insights. All webinar registrants will be emailed a recording of the webinar.
