New Gift to Fund Global Experience for All Full-Time Darden MBAs
Yesterday, Darden announced that the new Batten Foundation Darden Worldwide Scholarship program will provide full-time MBA students with the opportunity to attend a Darden Worldwide Course at no incremental cost. A $15 million gift from the Batten Foundation matched with a gift from UVA’s Bicentennial Scholars Fund resulted in a $30 million endowment that will fund global learning opportunities for all full-time MBA students.
On our applications, we ask where you would be interested in traveling with Darden. With the help of this generous gift, we can ensure that interest becomes reality.
This spring our students are traveling across five continents via 14 global learning opportunities. From a NOLS Experiential Leadership Elective in Chile, to Kaizen projects in China and Finland, to lessons on public-private sector cooperation in South Africa, Darden students are learning what it means to be global leaders through a variety of worldwide opportunities.
