The Darden School of Business has responded to a growing interest in the intersection between business and health care with the Health Care Initiative. After one year of its inception, its impact is already felt across Grounds.
Professor Christoph Herpfer and Marc Ruggiano, both of whom work closely on the Heath Care Initiative, recently discussed their motivations for bringing health care courses to Darden MBA students.
They shared that even if a student isn’t explicitly interested in pursuing a career in health care, health-care-related cases will continue to appear in their case method discussions. With 20% of the US work force in a health care-related field, this makes sense for future business leaders!
