Prospective students for the Class of 2028 may choose between four round deadlines during the 2025–26 application cycle:
- Early Action: 4 September 2025
- Round 1: 1 October 2025
- Round 2: 7 January 2026
- Round 3: 1 April 2026
Application Guidelines
Before starting an application, we recommend browsing UVA Darden resources to learn about our culture and community. View a list of our podcasts and publications here under “Browse Our Resources.”
When you are ready to start your application, the following materials will be required:
- Official transcript*
- Standardized test score or test waiver
- Resume
- Short answer essay questions
- One recommendation
- Application fee or fee waiver
*Official transcripts are required for submission during the 2025–26 application cycle.

A Case for Early Action
If you know that Darden is your top choice for business school, we encourage you to apply during the Early Action round.
This is advantageous for a few reasons: Early Action is the only round in which prospective students are permitted to schedule their interview without waiting to be invited. Additionally, there are more scholarship opportunities in Early Action.
What’s Different This Year?
The 2025–26 Full-Time MBA Application has a few updates over the previous cycle, including English language test options, test flexibility and the application fee waiver process.
