During the 2018-2019 academic year, Darden full-time and executive MBA students participated in global immersions, global topics courses, completed consulting projects and exchange programs offered across 50+ locations in 25 countries. By May, 85% of the full-time graduating Class of 2019 participated in a global course during their degree at Darden. In January and March of this year, 180 students in the Class of 2019 participated in one of the Darden Worldwide global immersion or global topics courses. For 53 of those students, their January or March course was their second, third or even fourth global course at Darden.
The full-time Class of 2020 students had their first opportunity to participate in a Darden Worldwide Course this May. Many utilized a Batten Foundation Darden Worldwide Scholarship to cover the cost of the course fee. 246 students (72% of the class) took advantage of the opportunity to travel with Darden faculty and their peers to one of eight countries, capping off their first year at Darden with a transformational learning experience.
