On Saturday, 4 February, Darden alumni in China got together to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Not only was it a beautiful day, but the date held significance as it was the first day of spring according to the Chinese lunar calendar.

The celebration took place at Shaojian Zhang’s (MBA ’99) apartment in Shanghai, China. Alumni were eager to join in on the festivities as it was the first event in a long time due to the pandemic. The event attracted over 40 Darden alumni and their family members.

Officially, this was the 10th mixer for the Darden China Alumni Chapter since it was named “达人会” in 2019. Previous mixers covered insights from local alumni on areas including real estate, healthcare, mergers and acquisitions, talent development, automotive, biotech, etc.
