Thirty-five Darden alumni based in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada and the United States raised over 40,000 RMB to purchase 11,260 pairs of gloves in less than 20 hours. Their efforts were in response to the coronavirus outbreak and intended to support individuals in Lichuan, Hubei Province.
Jie Yu (MBA ’17) and Siyuan Sun (MBA ’17) initiated and organized the efforts, which were primarily supported by Darden alumni who graduated in the Classes of 2016 and 2017. The photographs show boxes of gloves awaiting shipment.
