D<\/span>arden welcomed a second group from the University of Piura’s PAD School of Management to grounds last week for another week-long International Partner Program. Thirty-two part-time MBA students from Peru joined Darden’s Center for Global Initiatives<\/a> for the week to study entrepreneurship and innovation and to visit local companies. The program was led by professors Raul Chao, Tom Steenburgh, Jeremy Hutchison-Krupat and Bobby Parmar. “The classes were excellent, I really enjoyed them. The professors were spectacular,” shared MBA student Alicia Santillana. During the week the group visited UVA’s Licensing & Ventures Group<\/a> and UVA’s iLab<\/a> to learn more about Charlottesville’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. At iLab, the group heard from Kris Cody (Class of 2018), CEO and founder of PAKA Apparel<\/a>, a social enterprise based in Peru that began as a startup venture in iLab’s summer incubator program.<\/p>\n
