T<\/span>he Darden Center for Global Initiatives hosted one of their largest international partner programs<\/a> last week with part-time MBA students from PAD School of Management in Lima, Peru. Sixty-four students and staff from PAD visited Darden on 7-11 October for a program focused on entrepreneurship and innovation from a general management perspective. The program, led by the Darden faculty and staff team of Raul Chao<\/a>,\u00a0Tom Steenburgh,<\/a> Kim Whitler<\/a>, Elena Loutskina<\/a>, Ting Xu<\/a> and David Touve<\/a>, included lessons in finance, operations, marketing and leadership. Students had the opportunity to tour Bold Rock Cidery<\/a> and heard from co-founder Brian Shanks and vice president of retail operations, Lindsay Dorrier III, about the startup journey of Bold Rock as well as current innovations and new products they have introduced to the market. During the program, students also heard from Stephen Davis, president, and Carolina Medina, operations coordinator, of local nonprofit Community Investment Collaborative <\/a>(CIC) to learn more about Charlottesville\u2019s entrepreneurial ecosystem and how CIC empowers and supports local small businesses.<\/p>\n
