Full-time MBA student Vivian Hu (Class of 2020) of Shanghai, China, almost decided not to pursue business school when she found out she was pregnant soon after earning offers from several top programs. But she was inspired to show her future daughter that she was a strong mother, and chose Darden thanks to the plan of support Darden School staff offered her.
On this Mother’s Day Weekend, Darden is celebrating Hu’s accomplishments: She gave birth in November to a healthy baby girl and went on to complete her First Year, managing motherhood and a full-time course schedule with the help of faculty, fellow classmates and the entire Darden community.
