Earlier this month, student-led organization Graduate Women in Business
(GWIB) hosted its annual Women’s Leadership Conference – this year’s theme was Achieve.Lead.Uplift. The highly-anticipated conference provides a unique opportunity for students to come together to learn from one another and take part in special programming. Highlights included a “Share Your Power” session, an inspiring keynote from alum Lauren Ulrey and corporate sponsor workshops to promote women’s professional development.
Class of 2023 students Catherine Kirchner and Elizabeth Saltonstall serve on GWIB’s leadership board, and were responsible for organizing this year’s conference. Post-conference, they shared, “After months of planning, it was heartwarming to see the female Darden community come together for moments of reflection, learning and relationship building. We are so grateful to our sponsor companies who made the Conference possible and to our Keynote who shared valuable insight as we navigate life beyond Darden.”
Listen to Kirchner and Saltonstall’s podcast episode below where they discuss the conference.
GWIB serves to “empower women to be the fullest expression of themselves by creating inclusive spaces to grow authentic connections, further gender equity and forge partnerships on and off grounds. GWIB hosts events that provide opportunities for career exploration, community, and wellness, and facilitates opportunities to learn and have conversations about gender and what it means to be an ally.” Keep up with GWIB @dardengwib on Instagram.
