Professor Pedro Matos recently joined Darden Admissions for the latest installment of “Office Hours,” Presented by Darden Ideas to Action, where he shared insights on topics like environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing and his role as faculty advisor for Darden Capital Management (DCM). DCM is the student-led organization which manages over $26 million across six investment portfolios.
Matos is an expert in the fields of asset management, investments, corporate governance and international finance. He is also the academic director of the Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management. He currently teaches “Valuation in Financial Markets,” the Mayo Center Reading Seminar and “Hot Topics in Finance” and has won several prestigious awards for his case writing and publications.
The Economist magazine recently highlighted Matos’ research on ESG investing in the article, “Dubious Green Funds are Rampant in America.”
