The University of Virginia Darden School of Business received its highest-ever ranking in the recent Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools 2023-24. Ranked No. 3 in the US, Darden rose 6 spots from the previous year’s position. The School remains the No. 1 ranked business school among public universities.
Darden improved in three key subcategories: compensation, learning and networking, all of which contributed to the overall score.
“It’s always gratifying when the positive momentum we feel here at Darden is validated by external sources. Dean [Scott] Beardsley, who is on sabbatical at Oxford, and Darden faculty and staff have created an environment where both learning and scholarship are collaborative and mutually reinforcing — all for the benefit of students.”
Not only do the metrics show the strengths of the school across multiple categories, the qualitative section includes highlights from students and alumni sharing “what’s best” about the MBA program, with members of the Darden community lauding career outcomes, a collegial environment, and a focus on the quality of instruction, among other attributes.
