At the 2025 University of Virginia Darden School of Business final exercises, Dean Scott Beardsley addressed the crowd of graduates, faculty, staff and guests with this sentiment, “We are where we spend our time an energy. In a world of relentless distractions, your attention is your most valuable asset. Where you place it determines the trajectory of your life…will you invest in building a career, a family, a legacy? Where will you direct that attention? The solution is to actually be intentional with your intention, to focus deliberately, intentionally on what matters to you.”
