As we mentioned previously, we will be sharing winning pictures from the recent Darden Art (DART) Project on the blog throughout the coming weeks. Today we share a photo from First Year student, Benpei Cao (MBA 2020). Check out the story below!

I took this photo when I visited Seda, a remote county of Ganzi prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. It is home to the Larung Gar Buddhist Institute, the largest Tibetan Buddhist Institute in the world. The Institute was founded in 1980 and started off with just a few monks, but now houses tens of thousands of monks and pilgrims from around the world. Students usually take 6 to 13 years to complete their training. I was standing on top of a mountain when taking this photo. The red cabins are dormitories of the monks and pilgrims.
