Darden Executive Education & Lifelong Learning was honored to win two 2021 Brandon Hall Group Human Capital Management Excellence Awards for custom learning solutions developed and delivered with our valued client partners.
We received a Gold award for excellence in the Best Advance in Leadership Development category for our partnership program with GEICO. The Strategic & Entrepreneurial Leadership Program (SELP) equipped and prepared high-potential managers for future and greater responsibilities, with a focus on strategic acumen, embracing innovation and driving sustainable performance.
“The relationship with GEICO has truly been one of deep collaboration,” says Professor Greg Fairchild, Isidore Horween Research Professor of Business Administration, Associate Dean for Washington, D.C., Area Initiatives, and Academic Director of Public Policy and Entrepreneurship. “From the outset, the personal engagement with leaders from the C-suite and throughout the firm led to an impactful program designed to help build innovation within the whole organization. Like any great collaboration, the Darden team developed a number of new approaches and engagements that led to new learning for all.”
We received a Bronze award for excellence in the Best Advance in Leadership Development for Racial/Ethnic Minorities category for our long-standing partnership program with NAMIC (National Association for Multiethnicity in Communications). The Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) has been embraced by top communications and media industry firms as a key component in reaching their diversity, equity and inclusion goals. The immersive learning experience has impacted the career growth of over 1,000 leaders of color.
“Since the NAMIC and Darden partnership began in 2012, we have worked together to craft a rigorous learning experience merging advanced business skill development with evidence-based insights into how leaders of color deploy those skills effectively in their companies,” says Professor Martin Davidson, Senior Associate Dean, Global Chief Diversity Officer, and Johnson and Higgins Professor of Business Administration. “The result is an experience that participants frequently describe as ‘transformational’ and ‘life changing.’”
