Darden Admissions has two podcasts focused on the Darden student experience. Experience Darden explores the full-time MBA program, while The ExecMBA Podcast focuses on our Executive MBA Program. Both podcasts publish weekly episodes, and feature conversations with students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Today, we are sharing a few recent favorites from The ExecMBA Podcast

  • 21 Months in Six Podcasts

Our most recent episode is the final (for now!) conversation in an ongoing interview series, featuring two students in our Executive MBA Class of 2020, Jonas Porcar-Ferrer and Bhavin Patel.

Over the range of six podcast episodes in nearly two years, we documented Porcar-Ferrer and Patel’s time at Darden. We started at the very beginning — from Orientation and Leadership Residency 1 to their final elective quarter and Leadership 2.

Tune in and travel along:

Episode 126 – Quarter 10 and Leadership Residency 2
Episode 115 – Quarters 8 and 9, India Global Residency
Episode 102 – Quarters 6 and 7, Europe Global Residency
Episode 73 – Quarters 4 and 5, China Global Residency
Episode 63 – Quarters 2 and 3, Brazil Global Residency
Episode 48 – Leadership Residency 1 and Quarter 1

  • Helping During the Pandemic

Tiffany Pillifant (EMBA ‘20) and Andrew Harris (EMBA ‘20) were looking for a way to help the Charlottesville community during the COVID-19 pandemic. But how can two MBA candidates with no medical background lend a hand? Alongside their classmate Dr. Taison Bell, Pillifant and Harris formed a group called Masks for Cville focused on helping coordinate the personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturing effort in the area. Hear their story.

  • Food for Thought

Hunter Hopcroft (EMBA ‘20) recently joined us on the podcast to talk more about agribusiness, building resilient food supply chains and how stakeholder theory can help us navigate our current environment. During this wide-ranging conversation, Hunter also shares his experience starting a community grocery store in Richmond. As he describes in the episode, “there is your plan, and then there are the realities of actually running your business.” Hear Hunter’s story
