Just in time for our Round 3 deadline (3 April), Executive Director of Admissions, Dawna Clarke, is back with more application advice! In the latest addition to her ongoing application tips video series, Dawna offers her thoughts on standardized tests scores and the role they play in our admissions review.
At UVA Darden, in our Full-Time MBA admissions process, we accept two standardized tests – the GMAT and the GRE. We view these tests as equivalent, and we encourage candidates to choose the test they feel best aligns with their strengths. As you think about your standardized test score, remember, it is just one piece of information in a much broader evaluation. As Dawna notes:
“Our admissions process is holistic in nature. We will consider all of the materials in your application in an effort to get a sense of your skills, talents and accomplishments. The GMAT or GRE are simply one of several factors that are taken into consideration, and there are plenty of opportunities in the Darden application to highlight your academic strengths and other differentiating characteristics and accomplishments.”
